About Us

Principal/Owner

Since 1999, Rickie White (M.A. Ecology, UNC-Chapel Hill) has been a conservation professional.  His experience ranges from conducting and overseeing National Park Service species inventories to working on sustainable forest strategies, establishing citizen science programs, and taking on leadership roles in various nonprofits.   His career includes stints as Citizen Science Coordinator for the National Audubon Society's Chicago office, Senior Regional Ecologist and Senior Project Manager at NatureServe, and most recently, Executive Director of the Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association in Durham, NC.

Rickie currently works from his home base in the mountains of North Carolina where he enjoys tending his flock of Navajo-churro sheep, long hikes, and learning to fly fish.  Rickie can be reached via our Contact Us page.
